The Kinds of Billboard Work We Do

This page describes the types of jobs we take on. The gallery shows completed work, so you can judge finish and detail for yourself.

Rather than list claims, we would like you to see the work. Our gallery shows completed billboard work, and this page explains the kinds of jobs behind the photographs so you know what to ask about when you enquire.

Billboard projects rarely look alike. A single face beside a suburban road, a double-sided structure at an industrial intersection, an LED screen on a building and a wrap over a construction facade all need different crews, equipment and approvals. What they share is a clear scope, careful setting out and a clean finish.

New structures

New-build work starts with the site. We look at ground conditions, wind exposure, sight lines and the approach direction of traffic before recommending a unipole, monopole, double-sided, V-shape, trihedron, vertical, rooftop, wall-mounted or super billboard. Fabrication, foundations, face and frame, and lighting follow, with engineering design arranged as the structure and site require.

See billboard types for the formats and billboard manufacturing for how the build is organised.

Each of these jobs starts with a conversation about conditions on the ground, not a catalogue.

Digital screens and conversions

Digital work includes outdoor LED billboards, indoor screens, transparent LED displays and mobile LED trailers, along with content management and maintenance. Some jobs are new screens, others convert an existing static structure to digital, where the frame, power supply and approvals all need to be reviewed first.

Our digital billboards section explains what to prepare, including the approving authority's conditions on brightness and operating hours.

Skins, flighting and wraps

Skin and flighting work covers printing on PVC or flex, mesh and backlit material, then installing, changing and removing skins on structures. Building wraps follow the same logic on a larger scale and often involve rope access or a crane to reach the facade safely. Large format and mesh banners serve hoardings, fences and scaffolding.

Details are under billboard services.

Printed skins are matched to the material the site suits: PVC or flex for standard faces, mesh where wind should pass through, and backlit material for lit faces.

Relocations, repairs and upgrades

Not every job is new. Structures need to be moved when land is sold or a road changes, taken down when a lease ends, repaired after storm or vehicle damage, or upgraded when the owner wants a different face or lighting. We assess the existing structure first and report on what it needs.

What the gallery shows

The gallery on this website shows completed work. We do not publish client names, results or figures here, and we do not describe projects we cannot show. If you would like to discuss a similar job, tell us what you have in mind through the quote form and we will explain how we would approach it.

Because we show completed work rather than describe unnamed results, you can look closely at weld finish, face alignment, skin tension and how cleanly a structure sits on its base.

Work for different kinds of client

Landowners usually come to us with a piece of ground and a question: what can stand here? Brands and agencies bring a campaign and a date. Property developers bring a hoarding or building that needs covering during construction. Media owners bring a set of existing structures that need inspection, repair or an upgrade.

We treat these as different jobs because the risks and priorities differ. A landowner cares about foundations and approvals. An agency cares about flighting dates and print quality. A developer cares about access and the site programme. Our how we work page shows how those concerns fit into one process.

If a particular kind of job is not covered here, ask. The range of structures and services on this website is broad, and we can usually say quickly whether your idea suits your site.

At a glance

Our billboard work covers the full range of outdoor advertising jobs in South Africa and Africa: new unipole, monopole, double-sided, V-shape and rooftop structures, digital LED billboards, skin printing and flighting, building wraps, relocations, upgrades, repairs and inspections. This page describes the kinds of billboard projects we take on, while the gallery shows completed work so you can judge finish and installation detail yourself.

Each job is scoped on its own conditions, including ground, wind exposure, approvals, access and the equipment needed, whether that is a mobile crane or a rope access team. We work for landowners, brands, agencies, developers and media owners in Johannesburg, Sandton, Pretoria, Midrand and further afield. To discuss a similar project, send your site details through the quote form and we will explain how we would approach it. We never publish client names or invented results. Our work spans Gauteng, other provinces and neighbouring countries, with each job scoped on site conditions rather than a standard package. Browse the gallery, then tell us what you have in mind.

Common questions

Where can I see completed work?

The gallery on this website shows completed work. Use it to judge finish, structure types and installation detail.

Do you list client names?

No. We describe the kinds of work we do and let the gallery speak for finish and detail.

Can I ask for a similar job to one in the gallery?

Yes. Describe it in the quote form, and we will confirm what suits your site and approvals.

Do you do large multi-site jobs?

Yes. We scope multi-site work site by site, because ground, approvals and access differ at each location.

Do you work on structures you did not build?

Yes. We repair, inspect, reface and upgrade existing structures after assessing their condition.

Ready to go bigger?

Tell us where and what you want to advertise, and we will plan the billboard, the approvals and the flighting.
